The registration desk will be open on the second level of Novotel Northbeach Hotel on Sunday, September 23 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, during the welcome reception. Participants who have already paid can and pick up conference materials there.
From Monday until Friday, the registration desk will be located in the foyer of the Communications Centre.
This desk will be staffed during the following hours:
- Monday, September 24: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Tuesday, September 25: 8:00am – 6:00 pm
- Wednesday, September 26: 8:00am – 11:00 am
- Thursday, September 27: 8:00am – 6:00 pm
- Friday, September 28: 8:00am – 1:00 pm
Complimentary wireless internet access will be available to all conference participants in the meeting areas. The details for accessing the network will be announced at the conference.
Coffee and refreshment breaks
All of the conference coffee and refreshment breaks will be in the University Function Centre, Building 11. This is also the site of the poster sessions and the technical exhibits.
Information for presenters
All presenters should be present 10 minutes before the start of the session, and should immediately inform the session chair of their arrival. Each oral session room will contain a computer equipped with a projector. Presenters should bring a USB memory-stick with their presentation in MS PowerPoint or PDF format, and should load and preview their presentations before the session starts. The time allocation for talks is as follows:
- Plenary talk: 45 min (40 min presentation + 5 min discussion)
- Invited talk: 30 min (25 min presentation + 5 min discussion)
- Contributed talk: 15 min (12 min presentation + 3 min discussion)
All rooms have document cameras, 1/8" audio TRS inputs and VGA inputs. So we should be able to support people who may want to use their own devices providing they have VGA input. You will also need a line-out with male 1/8" TRS jack if you require additional audio output from your device.
Oral presentations must keep strictly to time to facilitate delegates moving between parallel sessions.
Poster size should not exceed A0 in portrait orientation. Materials necessary to mount posters to the display boards will be available.
Posters for each evening's poster session should be set up from 12:30pm on the day of the poster. Poster presenters should be standing at their posters for the entire duration of the poster session, to facilitate discussion. Posters should be removed by 11:00am the day after the poster session - any posters remaining after that time will be removed by the conference staff, and may be damaged or destroyed in the process.
